Before the Christmas holiday, I visited the American Girl store at Northpoint Mall with my neice. All I can say is…Thank goodness they didn’t have American Girl when I was young. I would want EVERYTHING and my mother was not the kind to spend money on dolls clothing, especially at those prices. I can’t even begin to imagine her response to the doll hair salon where you’ll spend the equivalent of a child’s haircut to have your doll’s locks groomed.
Although I think it is ridiculously overpriced, I do like American Girl. They’re great role models for girls and I’ve heard rave reviews about the books. There are always events going on at the store, including FREE events. Below the video is a sampling of upcoming FREE events at American Girl in Atlanta. Check the website for additional events, there were too many to list them all here. Call the store for exact times 877-247-5223.
